Algae Bloom,  September 2014

On August 8th, 2013, Mr. Heinz Proft,
Harwich Natural Resources Director, kayaked
out to the Northwest Area of Hinckleys Pond to view
the tree that fallen and floated there over the winter
.
>>>>>
On August 9th, 2013, with the help of the Harbormaster
and staff, the large tree (water obstruction)
was towed by boat over to James Road,..
then winched
out of the water and cut up with a chainsaw.  All
went well - Hinkleys Pond is safer for boating now.
The Cormorants will be disappointed,
but the boaters will not.
Thanks Heinz...
